AUS Safety Message Mat Service:

All companies today are concerned with the high incident of workplace injury and the cost, both in human and financial terms. The incidence of workplace injury is a major factor taken into account when workplace injury insurances are negotiated. Whether it be the large employer who employs a dedicated Safety Manager or the small employer, all companies have an interest in workplace safety. Many organisations display safety posters to promote and reinforce the safety ethic. To be effective these need to be changed regularly or they just cease to be noticed by the employees targeted. 
Workplace safety is as much about reinforcing safety awareness as it is educating employees. AUS Safety Mat Service provides a similar benefit. Designed with bright and imaginative artwork, these non-slip mats are impossible to miss. What makes the service especially effective from a message promotion point of view, is that the message in each location changes every week.

AUS Safety Message Mats do a lot more than promote safety. Like our Frontier
Mat range they trap up to 80% of the damaging grit, dust and dirt and moisture that will tracked about the workplace. They "two step mat" and are 85 x 150 cm (5x3), designed to be placed lengthways to ensure effective dirt control. They are especially effective in controlling workplace "spills" from being tracked about. AUS nylon mat range is constructed with an unusual triple strand pile, that has been twisted and heat set to provide a superior dirt and moisture collection performance. It is this  special pile structure that prevents the AUS Safety Message Mat from unravelling and "matting" together as most normal mats do. This gives the
pile the ability to act like tiny brushes, scrubbing the soles of the shoes then springing right back to shape. The dirt, dust and moisture however is trapped deep beneath the pile surface, while the mat maintains its bright attractive appearance.

Unlike the provision of expensive safety posters, the AUS Safety Mat Programme involves no ongoing effort and daily involvement from the client. On an agreed weekly basis the AUS serviceperson will exchange each Safety Message Mat, with another featuring a different message, and take away the dust, dirt and moisture trapped within the soiled mat.


The AUS Safety Mat Service can be sold as either a stand alone Safety Message Service or in conjunction with our other mat ranges to provide an even more comprehensive service. In selling this service it is crucial to establish the correct decision maker. This is often a different person than the decision maker responsible for building maintenance or promoting a company image.
