AUS Garment Dispensing Lockers

Picture

When providing a Garment Rental Programme to our clients one of the key requirements is the ability to secure the garments once at the clients premises. A security system is needed to ensure each garment is only accessible to each specific wearer. This requirement can be handled manually, by delivering the garments to a secure store, to be handed out and collected when required by the clients stores-person, but more commonly this requirement is
fulfilled by the use of a secure garment locker system. With this type of locker each individual wearer has one section of a multi door locker cabinet dedicated to his or her use. The clean garments are placed by the service provider into each wearers secure "section". Each section is individually keyed so only the intended wearer has access to their garments. A master key is provided to one authorised customer contact.
These garment Lockers are not intended to be use as general "personal" lockers and typically have little room available for personal items. A requirement in some workplaces is the necessity to raise the lockers clear from the floor, so in these cases the lockers are place on locker stands (at extra cost), which provides clearance under the lockers.

With some clients it is also a requirement to provide the lockers with sloping tops, designed to minimise dust build up, and to facilitate cleaning. In these cases fittings are available (at extra cost) to be placed on top of the conventional lockers.

Once a garment is due to be changed the wearer is required to place the soiled garment in a locked Soiled Garment Collection Bin. These are available in varying sizes, but all feature a "one way" inlet designed to prevent the soiled items being pilfered. In very small accounts a Soiled Linen Bag and Bag Stand can be used (without the security benefits however).

AUS usually provides garment lockers and soiled collection bins on a contract long "loan" basis (the capital costs and depreciation being factored into the garment rental charge). The client must return the loan items in good condition upon the termination of the service contract. Any damage that limits the reuse of the items will be billed for. Lost or additional locker keys are charged for. Some clients even charge the wearer for the cost of lost keys.
